NIKKI ADAMS-HERRERA

Nikki began her love for training as young athlete on the soccer field. She enjoyed the aspect of team sports, while at the same time developing her love for leadership as a keeper. She began coaching in 2003, teaching group training as well as developing people individually through personal training. She is a certified CrossFit L2 Trainer, AFAA Personal Trainer, BirthFit Coach/Leader, CrossFit StrongMan, and Holistic Nutrition Coach. It brings her tremendous joy to see her Community at The Cave Training thrive, through Fitness + Wellness.

LIKES: Nature, Ice Baths, Hiking, Lifting Weights, Boxing, and Spending time with her loved ones.

BEN HERON

COACH

Ben started training for fun a decade ago while hating his 9-5 corporate existence. Now training full time, he’s been certified through multiple agencies including NASM, USA Powerlifting and ISSA. He specializes in injury rehabilitation and ingraining proper movement patterns, and has worked with athletes, actors and influencers (and hated most of that), focusing on both the physical and nutritional aspects of training. The powerlifting competitors he coaches are currently gunning for state records.

LIKES: Nature, Bad Horror Movies, Heavy Metal, Dinosaurs, and his Dog Hercules.

KELLY BOEK

Training in CrossFit as an athlete for 7 years has set Kelly up to know the ins and outs of what it’s like to train as a beginner, starting from the bottom, to now being a developed and seasoned athlete. After obtaining her CrossFit L1 certification and spending many years of leading teams and volunteers, Kelly began coaching at Cave Training in the Summer of 2020.

LIKES: Spending time with her Family, Laughing, Dancing while Working Out, and Pull-ups.

TAYLOR AYERS

Taylors love for fitness wasn’t an instantaneous one, but a love that slowly grew into her love now! Taylor spent her early years mostly playing sports, with soccer kicking off her fitness journey. She attended University of the Pacific and played division 1 soccer for four years until her graduation. While there, she studied health exercise and sports science. Taylor acquired an internship at a private gym after graduating, and later got her NASM trainer certification and her Nutrition Coach certification.

LIKES: Pickles, Pizza, Deadlifts, Power Cleans, Camping, Boating, and Dogs.
